The root

I want to die
Sitting on a wing back chair
Smoking a cigar, drinking wine
Morricone playing loud
I want to close my eyes
And sleep without a tomorrow
Breathe the smoke rather than air
Taste the wood of the barrel
Forget, dream, not to care
I want to fall into forever
And find the dark like a root
Warmth in the barren ground
Eternal, and yet temporary
